Oyass Capital
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targeted

Description of the Project
Oyass Capital is a pioneering impact investment fund dedicated to empowering Senegalese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with strong social, economic, and environmental potential. With a $90m commitment and an investment strategy focused on equity and quasi-equity instruments, Oyass Capital supports SMEs across sectors that demonstrate strong potential for inclusive growth, innovation, and impact—particularly in terms of job creation, economic inclusion, and sustainable development.
Structured by Innpact in partnership with FONSIS (Sovereign Strategic Investment Fund of Senegal), KfW and the World Bank, Oyass Capital represents a landmark blended financial instrument tailored for Senegal’s private sector. The fund is professionally managed by the experienced local impact funds manager SEAF, bringing global impact investment expertise to local entrepreneurs.
Innpact contribution
As Fund Structurer and ongoing service provider, Innpact guided the full structuring of Oyass Capital—designing its legal framework, governance, financial model, impact measurement and management and blended-finance architecture. Innpact further supported the initiators of the Fund Manager through an international competitive bidding process.
