Impact Fund Management – Valuation Manager

Based in Luxembourg and active globally, we provide specialised impact finance consulting services and fund management services to numerous impact finance initiatives. Innpact has supported the establishment of impact finance vehicles in excess of €8. billion providing significant contributions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Through our AIFM and CIS Manager and non-regulated services and in collaboration with impact investment management firms, Innpact manages a dozen of mid and large size impact vehicles active in microfinance, renewable energy, conservation, carbon projects or agriculture. Innpact brings its 15 years’ experience through various tailor-made services including portfolio management, risk management, compliance, reporting and impact management services.

Role:

Within our AIFM, we are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Valuation Manager to join our Operations team and to act as Internal Valuer. The Valuation Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the valuation framework of Innpact Fund Management and will contribute to the continued success of the company by strengthening the functionand related activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement valuation methodologies and models in accordance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct valuations of alternative assets held by our funds, including but not limited to private equity, private debt, venture capital and carbon credits, derivatives.
  • Perform independent verification and validation of third-party valuation models and data.
  • Prepare valuation reports and documentation for the internal valuation committee.
  • Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and other relevant factors to assess the fair value of assets.
  • Stay updated on developments in valuation methodologies, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of valuation policies and procedures.
  • Provide support during audits and regulatory examinations related to valuation processes.
  • Perform due diligences on valuation data providers, challenge and make recommendations concerning the valuation process and methodology.
  • Actively participate in various client- and development projects by applying your valuation expertise.
  • Provide support on day-to-day operational activities, including oversight, internal and external reporting and client interaction.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A strong desire to align his/her job to deliver sustainable and responsible services and is highly motivated to support the development of the impact finance sector.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in valuation of alternative illiquid investments within the financial services industry, preferably an AIFM.
  • Strong knowledge of valuation principles, methodologies, and techniques under various accounting standards. Good understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to valuation.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation software/tools (e.g. Excel, Bloomberg).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex valuation concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. A CFA certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ideally, an experience in relation to impact investment strategies and blended finance mandates.

  • Excellent written and spoken English
