2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility

The 2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility is a pioneering facility created by 2X Global and managed by Kuramo Capital to provide warehousing capital for female-led or gender-balanced fund managers with gender-smart investing strategies across Africa. It aims to provide high-potential fund managers with the opportunity to prove their investment strategy and build a track record of deal execution, thereby improving their chances of successfully deploying their funds.

This catalytic initiative will provide concessional capital to 15-20 emerging gender-smart fund managers, who will finance over 200 gender-smart small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) over the lifetime of their funds and create and maintain over 4,000 jobs on the African continent, improving livelihoods especially for women, and unlocking significant impact on the continent.

Innpact supported 2X Global and Kuramo in the legal structuring of the Facility as a Luxembourg fund, advising on governance, compliance, and the GP’s organizational setup. It led engagement with DFC and KfW as anchor investors, coordinated service provider selection, and ensured regulatory alignment, including EU SFDR alignment. Moreover, Innpact co-developed the Facility’s impact thesis and Theory of Change, and drafted the ESMS, ESG, and Gender Policy in line with investor requirements.

Innpact now acts as GP Advisor, providing ongoing support to the GP on corporate and administrative matters, including IMM regulatory compliance.
