On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of its partnership with SOS Villages d Enfants Monde, Innpact, a pioneer in impact finance in Luxembourg since 2007, has continued its strong commitment with the association to make so that no child grows up alone and everyone is assured of having everything he needs to grow well in a community where he has his place.
On 14 December 2018, employees of Innpact, in charge of the solidarity commitment of the company through its Social Contract Committee, Rebecca Maroko, Melis Tuna and Tina Grün, and the management of Innpact, represented by Paola d’Angelo, Director, and Patrick Goodman, Partner, were invited to the SOS Villages d’Enfants offices for a symbolic cheque presentation. The group met Adamou Hamadou, a technical support expert who presented him with the “economic strengthening” component of the Community Support Programme for the Protection of Children (PACOPE) in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, in a spirit of sustainability, which it supports since 2014. It was an opportunity for Patrick Goodman to congratulate Adamou Hamadou and the teams on the ground for their efforts to empower parents, guardians and communities: “SOS projects reflect the philosophy of our company: to improve the quality of life and to build future prospects”.
For its part, the SOS Villages d’Enfants team warmly thanked Innpact’s management and employees. “We are delighted that your beautiful solidarity is engaged in a sustainable way in favour of the programme of Conakry, a project in full development and which intends to strengthen each member of the community, starting with the young people, so that it is autonomous, strong and mobilised to guarantee children the satisfaction of their essential needs, their protection against any form of violence and the respect of their rights” underlined the director, Sophie Glesener. More than 1,000 children, half of whom are girls from 271 families, are involved in this five-year programme, whose activities revolve around child protection supported by economic strengthening of tutors and strengthening capabilities of all.
Since the beginning of the partnership in 2013, Innpact has also supported emergency aid programs in the Philippines, Niger, Nepal and Syria. SOS teams respond to emergencies to ensure not only the safety and well-being of children, but also those around them during and after armed conflicts, famines and natural disasters.
