Our engagement

As a mission driven and B Corp company, the aim of Innpact is to build the impact finance ecosystem to increase the financing of high impact projects

Our concrete actions

Innpact Services IMM

We are a proud member of the B Corporation movement

B Corp is to business what fair trade is to coffee. The B Corp label certifies companies that harness the power of business to solve social and environmental issues and that follow a comprehensive set of performance and legal requirements.

We received our first B Corp certification in 2015, being the first certified B Corp in Luxembourg.

We aspired for the B Corp certification as a result of our strong commitment to creating long lasting social and environmental impact. It is important to us to find a way to benchmark our performance over time and assess where we can improve as a company. We also want to signal to our partners and clients that our commitment to social and environmental responsibility is real and encourage them to thrive themselves to the high standards of B Corp companies.

To attain the B Corp certification, a company must meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, legally expand its corporate responsibilities to include consideration of stakeholder interests, and build collective voice through the power of the unifying B Corporation brand.

We are fully CO² neutral and off-set our emissions

We neutralise our carbon footprint. We care about our effect on the climate and do our best to make our operations as climate friendly as possible, a.o. using electricity and gas from 100% renewable sources and controling our supply chain. All CO² emissions we are responsible for, including staff members’ commutes, are measured via the myclimate carbon footprint calculator and are compensated by way of donations to climate protection projects.

Our Social Contract as part and parcel of our corporate social responsibility

With the purpose to foster a meaningful link between our company, our employees and society, we contribute part of our resources in a responsible way to projects that create opportunities in our local community and in target countries. Our Social Contract is a way for us to support fantastic initiatives that we would normally not be a part of in our core business. Our support is provided by way of pro bono consulting and financial support (donations, debt or equity investments) to projects where we can make a positive impact. The Social Contract is steered by our Social Contract Committee, composed of dedicated Innpact staff members.

Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles

Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles is a network of nearly a hundred beekeepers located in France and Belgium who promote local and artisanal beekeeping that respects bees and biodiversity.

Our Social Contract Committee has been supporting Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles since 2018.

As Innpact’s garden is too small to host beehives, our Social Contract Committee decided to support beekeepers in France (Lorraine) and in Belgium through donations to Un toit Pour Les Abeilles and to receive delicious honey, that we are happy to distribute to our colleagues and partners.

In 2022, we participated in the crowdfunding campaign launched by Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles to set up their online shop proposing high-quality and local honey-based products: https://www.farouche.fr/

In 2023, we also participated in their second crowdfunding campaign launched to develop a 100% plant-based and compostable honey jar: https://www.farouche.fr/content/15-notre-pot-revolutionnaire

In 2024, we supported the educational project developed by Les Dorloteurs d’Abeilles to raise awareness and educate young generations about the protection wild bees and their key role for biodiversity: https://www.lesdorloteurs.fr/

AMKA

AMKA is a non-profit organization that, since 2001, has been working to improve the living conditions of the populations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Guatemala in the areas of health, education, democratic participation and access to income. “Amka” means “wake up” in the Swahili language. Amka works with passion in mobilizing resources, consensus and commitment to promote the sustainable development of the poorest areas of the world, through integrated and participatory interventions. Through its action, it aims to ensure that the populations of the southern countries have the tools to wake up and develop independently in order to build a dignified future. At the same time, it wants to awaken and mobilize the consciences of the richest societies for the construction of more equitable and sustainable international relations.

Our Social Contract Committee granted an interest-free loan linked to impact targets to AMKA in 2022 to support the NGO in combatting malnutrition, achieving food security and promoting socio-economic role of women in the Mabaya area, rural province of Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo). The loan was successfully repaid in 2023 and 74 children in state of malnutrition received nutritional support. More than 300 women were also trained on ways to fight malnutrition.

Our Social Contract Committee is happy to pursue its collaboration with AMKA in 2024 with a new donation to support the socio-economic empowerment of women coffee producers in the Department of Huehuetenango (Guatemala). AMKA’s is encouraging the development of the management and administration skills of a group of women according to the cooperative business model and the principles of social and solidarity economy, in order to reduce inequalities and generate an endogenous and self-managed development process for women. Our donation finances part of the training and technical support program for a group of approximately 35 women who will constitute the first nucleus for the establishment of a women’s coffee cooperative.
