SAFE Fund – Supporting Alternative Finance for Entrepreneurs

SAFE is a guarantee fund designed to mobilize significant volumes of debt financing to MSMEs in developing countries, particularly in MENA and Eastern Europe. By providing guarantees to alternative finance providers, the fund addresses the unmet financing needs of MSMEs.

SAFE aims to improve financial access for businesses in underserved markets, focusing on innovative financial solutions that empower local entrepreneurs and foster economic resilience.

The fund benefits from an initial capital contribution from the German Government (BMZ) and a comprehensive guarantee structure supported by KFW and counter-guaranteed by the EU through the EFSD+ programme.

Innpact Fund Management S.A. has been selected as the Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) for SAFE.  Innpact oversees the fund’s compliance and management in alignment with its objectives and regulatory framework.

Development Guarantee Group is the appointed Investment Advisor for the Fund.
